Our hut has 36 beds in the tourist standard, which means that the rooms are shared, with no bathroom or washbasin, and you sleep in bunk beds (in the rooms with 2 and 4 beds the beds are single). There are shared bathrooms in the hallways on the ground floor and the first floor. Hot and cold water are available 24 hours (unless a failure happens, of course).

Sleeping on the floor
Please note that, under PTTK Mountain Shelter Regulations, sleeping on the floor (on your own mattress, on a free space on the floor) will be allowed ONLY when all beds in the shelter are occupied and it is not possible for the tourist to safely reach another shelter, a railway station or a town. So if you plan to stay with us overnight, you need to make a booking in advance. Overnight stay on your own mattress costs PLN 50.
Children
Children under 3 years stay free of charge (as long as they don’t occupy a separate bed), and children up to 10 years are eligible for a 50% discount.
We have special rates for schools and groups of over 15 people – for details please see the „Offer for group” tab.
Bedding and resort tax
1 set of bedding: PLN 29 for the entire stay
resort tax – PLN 2,50 / person / night (over 1 night)
We offer 20% discounts to:
* PTTK members (you will need to show the ID with a valid stamp)
* Alpenverein members
* Voluntary Blood Donors (the discount will be awarded upon presentation of a Voluntary Blood Donor’s ID, provided that the last donation was made no earlier than one year before)
Important: Discounts don’t accumulate.
Romantics
You can rent the 4-bedded room for 2 people at PLN 310 + bedding, if required (please note: this option is not available for weekends).
Reception
The reception desk is open until 5 pm (Friday-Saturday to 9 pm), and you are requested to reach the shelter by that time in order to check in. In exceptional circumstances we can check-in tourists after 5 pm (Friday-Saturday after 9 pm), but you have to let us know by phone in advance. Check-in starts 3:00 pm and check-out 11:00 am. This means that if you check in the hut before 3 pm your room may not be ready yet, but you can always leave your luggage with us and go on a hike. In the morning, you are kindly requested to check-out by 11 am.
Workaholics
Free wi-fi internet access throughout the hut is provided to our guests staying overnight.
Mobile network coverage: it’s a good idea to go to your phone settings, choose manual network selection and pick your provider’s network to prevent your phone from finding Czech networks.
Car parks
Please note that there is no access road to our hut. You should leave your car parked at the foot of Szczeliniec, preferably in one of the paid car parks near the bed and breakfasts in Karłów. We strongly advise against leaving your car overnight in the forest car park on the yellow trail coming from Pasterka, due to frequent break-ins and thefts.
Pets
You can stay at our hut with a pet that is not a troublemaker and won’t frighten other guests, provided that you rent a separate room and bring your own bedding for your pet. It costs 50 PLN for the entire stay. Please let us know in advance you’d like to bring a pet.
Important: there is a possibility to go with a dog from Karlow village to our hut but it is forbidden in a touristic path starting behind a shelter. More informations are there: https://www.pngs.com.pl
Meals
We don’t have a kitchen for use by tourists or a place where guests could cook their own meals. The hut has a kitchen that prepares meals which you can buy at the buffet. We sell standard breakfasts and lunches between 9 am and 4 pm (Friday-Saturday to 7 pm). In the residential part of the hut there is a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, electric kettle, cups and dishes, and you can also eat meals made with your own products in the dining room (open 24 hours), as long as they can be prepared without a stove. The bar, open 9 am to 5 pm (Friday-Saturday to 9 pm), sells cold beverages, coffee, tea, beer (also Czech), mulled wine, sweets and souvenirs, and you can also ask for the shelter’s stamp to impress it on something as a souvenir.
